Cyber security threats for 2015 predicted at the Ethical Hackers Forum

Speaking at the third session of the Ethical Hackers Forum of Sri Lanka, Krishna Rajagopal, Master Trainer of CICRA, predicted that the mobile devices and mobile platforms would be the most targeted attack surfaces in 2015.

Mr. Rajagopal identified ten key areas of concern in relation to the cyber threats and stressed that the awareness and preparedness are the most essential ingredients in mitigating rapidly increasing cyber threats all around the world.

General Manager/ CEO of LankaClear Sunimal Weerasooriya graced the forum as the chief guest on December 03 in Colombo.

During his speech, Mr. Weerasooriya explained how information breaches have evolved from single user attacks to penetrating into bigger organizations, sometimes even governments.

He stressed the importance of working together to avoid such damages and explained the initiations taken by LankaClear and its sister organizations to strengthen the cyber security domain in Sri Lanka.

Vivek Srivastava, Tech Lead for India and SAARC of CISCO inc., the guest speaker of the forum brought in various research evidences and evaluated the increment of cyber-attacks during last few years.
